Submitting to God's will for sexual redemption is part of a Christian's growing and maturing in discipleship. Jesus takes us as we are, but He doesn't leave us as we are.  By and through the gift of His Holy Spirit, He works with us in the process of sanctification, making us ever more holy, including in the area of our sexuality. A supportive church family is crucial to that process.  As with choosing a counselor or support group, use wisdom and discernment when connecting to a new church family.  

Exodus International maintains a list of affiliated local churches through the Exodus Church Association (ECA). Affiliate churches go through an extensive screening process to determine that they preach and teach a compassionate and redemptive message about homosexuality and that they have a solid program of discipleship in place.
